April is shaping up to be one of the busiest and most exciting months in the Sandal calendar, with competitions, leagues and social play all kicking into gear.
We move from winter into full summer mode — and there’s plenty for everyone to get involved in.
The month begins with the Sandal Easter Open (29 March – 4 April), a week-long LTA Grade 4 tournament bringing a high standard of competitive tennis to the club.
Hot on its heels is our first One-Day Tournament on Easter Monday (6 April) — a fast-paced, social competition designed to get everyone back on court. Expect a fun but competitive afternoon, all wrapped up in around four hours.
We’ll be recognising recent achievements with the Winter Ladder and One-Day Tournament trophy presentation.
A great opportunity to celebrate winners, runners-up and some questionable line calls from the winter season.
The Summer Ladder Leagues officially launch on 6 April, running across 13 rounds through to October.
Singles, doubles and junior ladders will all be in play — so whether you’re ultra-competitive or just enjoy a structured hit, there’s a place for you.
April also sees the return of regular competitive tennis:
LTA North & Midlands East Tour events throughout the month
Inter-club leagues starting mid-to-late April:
This is where things get serious — team selections, match nights and plenty of “we were robbed” stories incoming.
Entries will open for the 2026 Club Championships, with matches beginning in early May.
If you’ve ever thought “I could win that” — now’s your moment.
April is all about momentum. Whether you want to:
There’s something happening every week.
Make sure you’re signed up, available, and ready — the season starts now.
